To establish field & yard shelterbelts to act as a barrier to reduce and redirect the wind, absorb excessive moisture, trap snow and remove carbon dioxide from the air. Please contact the Deloraine or Reston offices if your interested in planting a shelterbelt. We have various options for planting and weed control. SRWD staff can plant and install plastic mulch for weed control, for an added fee (see application form below).
